Drowning is the second leading cause of death in children ages 1-14, yet it is highly preventable. Programs to raise awareness of water safety and drowning exist around the world, yet the problem continues unabated.

Our Goal.

We want to significantly reduce the number of children’s drowning accidents. After carefully studying existing programs, and researching how children are best engaged to learn, we have developed a new approach to deliver important water safety messages in a positive way that are easily understood and emulated.

Our Method.

We have created a lovable lion cub character, named Jabari, who will help teach some basic concepts of water safety. We are introducing Jabari in a children’s book targeted at 2-4 year olds with follow-up books, DVDs and other solutions targeted for children from 1-10.  This first book provides an opportunity for parents or caregivers to positively interact with children, while also making the adults aware of common water-related dangers associated with the age group.

Just as Smokey Bear is synonymous with helping to prevent wildfires, Jabari will become synonymous with helping to keep children safe in the water.

Our Motivation.

As businesswomen, social entrepreneurs and mothers, we are committed to saving children.  And we are committed to using non-threatening messages to encourage positive behavior.  We want children to be comfortable in the water, and we want them to discover the fun and health-benefits of water sports – all while minimizing the dangers.

Our Request.

Contact us so we may develop new programs or integrate into programs you already have in operation. We can also offer discounted pricing on large orders of 'Jabari Makes a Splash!'. Together, we can reduce the number of drowning accidents for children.
